Over the years, I have recorded myriads of unique and sonically interesting objects that either emit these noises by themselves – once they’ve been put into operation, or by specific interactions and performances with these. Especially working on the ’Antiques’ library was very exciting with many unexpected and thrilling sonic discoveries that only things with many years of service are capable of producing.
Since Foley actually describes the art of performing sound in sync to picture or audio-playback, it exacts a lot of experience and know-how, to achieve similar results with pre-recorded sound effects.
