Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Audio Developer with deep expertise in C++ and a seasoned background in the JUCE framework. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. Your instinct is to work autonomously and iteratively to solve problems. Your experience will enable you to influence the team and product direction, present great ideas, and design plans and deliver on these in line with our business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in the development of industry-defining audio software, leveraging your expertise in C++ and the JUCE framework
  • Collaborate with design and audio engineering teams to innovate and implement new features and designs
  • Provide technical guidance and code assistance
  • Take part in code reviews (as reviewer and reviewee)
  • Enhance the existing codebase, optimizing performance and reliability
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation to support the understanding and utilization of our software solutions
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in audio development to foster continual innovation
  • Work within Agile methodologies, engaging in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to facilitate a collaborative and productive work environment

Requirements

Essential

  • Senior-level expertise in C++ programming
  • Deep understanding and experience with the JUCE framework
  • Proven experience as part of commercially available audio plugins
  • Profound knowledge of DSP and audio algorithms
  • Proficiency with Git
  • Commitment to writing clean, well-documented, and efficient code

Desirable

  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams
  • Familiarity with Python programming
  • Passion for sound and audio production
  • Understanding of continuous delivery process and technologies e.g. CircleCi, Docker, Jenkins
  • Experience with a Test driven approach, unit testing
